Water and Bread

In Ecotopia 2004 The Netherlands we want to approach the topics of life and sustainable development with a focus on people's livelihoods and their access to safe food and drinking water. The main guiding themes we would like to hold a reflection on are:

1. Organic agriculture and fair trade in a global perspective, with a link to the EU agricultural policy (CAP) and the extension of the EU in may 2004.
2. The significance of food sovereignity, safe food and drinking water in relation to people's life.
3. An intercultural understanding of the above mentioned issues and the concept of 'sustainable society'.
